Living Organisms....

I'm having a good deal of difficulty maintaining organized thought long enough to get a decent blog post together. Here is one I started recently then got distracted:

Our bodies are made up of millions of diverse living cells, each a single living thing in its own right needing food, shelter, and a place to leave its waste. The waste of one cell may be another cell's fillet mignon. Together, when they are all living their lives properly, they combine to be you or me.
When cells, for whatever reason, quit pulling their load.

Families are living organisms. Symbiotic creatures that need each other to survive. When one (or more) of them quit living right, the unit suffers. Maybe dies.

By the time I returned to the text I had forgotten where I was headed. I'm afraid it is a symptom of CBGD. If I am going to continue this blog, you and I are going to have to accept that its deterioration is part of it. I am going to accept that disjointed drivel means something too.

On a side note, my hummingbirds seem to be feverishly stocking up for their winter migration.

  3. It was good to hear from you, I was getting worried about you. Please do not apologize for being brave enough to share your difficult journey with us. It will help us when we need it.

  4. I agree with Tux...I am glad to see a post from you. We just received the call from the specialist in Hershey, PA that my mom went to...she confirms her thought of CBGD. Mom's taking it pretty hard right now. I do hope your blog will give me insight on what is going on with her (now and in the future). Please keep blogging as long as you can, no matter if you think it is drivel or not :)

By the way, I LOVE the hummingbirds - they are awesome creatures!

  6. Fay,
There are few things I feel guiltier about than an empty bird feeder.

    Zen,
Thanks for your low standards. :)

    Uncensored,
I'm just a bit disjointed these days and seeing it in my writing is disconcerting.

    Tux,
Stripped to its essence, that is the hopeful reasoning behind my blog.

    Amy,
I am forming an idea for my next post that may be my most important yet.

    TnQRus,
Thanks! I love a good steak too, but have to have someone cut it for me. It taste different now.

  7. Hey Bob, long time since i have written to you..your hummingbirds are awesome. My mom had a feeder just put up in their backyard so she could enjoy them. THe whole family is gathering this weekend at Prairie du chien for our annual golf tourney. Kel will play and do what he can, i just still want him to be a part of the annual tourney. He is doing good, glad we are off the sinemet, he does seem better without it. The aricept i am just not sure, i guess only being on it for 3 weeks, it's too hard to tell. Did you ever try the cinnamon tabs or grape seed extract? I've been hearing about those two.
Your thoughts don't seem muddled to me, you have such a gift with words, and always love your analogy. I can't tell you how many times i talk about he backpack and the rocks weighing me down. My mom uses that analogy too. You keep writing whether muddled or not, you do a great service to many, and i so enjoy seeing your postings. How's superwoman?

  8. I don't see it as disjointed, and I certainly don't consider it drivel. We are all part of a whole, just as is the planet and the universe in toto. Your thought is a beautiful one Bob, nothing to apologize for.
